The Ripple Effect

This was a presentation I shared with medical students at the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges (APMC) student conference last February 6 in Davao. After my lecture, some students came up to me for pictures. I also met some students from St. Louis University in Baguio City who told me they were so excited to share what they had learned from me, with their classmates who were not able to attend.

Guess what?! I wasn’t expecting this at all. Several months have already passed. But yes, these students kept their promise! And I just had to write this blog post to document it.

It reminded me of what the Dalai Lama said –

Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects.

The ripple effect – a gradually spreading effect or influence. It may just be a tiny splash, but I am grateful. I love being a teacher!
